Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Every Achievement Playable Offline

Ubisoft has confirmed that all achievements in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will be accessible offline once the game is installed, clearing the way for players to hunt the full suite of unlockables without requiring an internet connection.

The distinction matters given Ubisoft's track record with live-service titles. The publisher has previously sunset online functionality for games like The Crew, removing access to core features. Black Flag Resynced sidesteps that issue entirely by launching as a single-player experience, with no multiplayer component carried over from the original 2013 release.

The achievement list spans multiple platforms, available as Steam achievements, Xbox achievements, and PlayStation trophies. No unlock can be permanently missed either. Ubisoft designed the awards to celebrate memorable moments and optional activities scattered across the Caribbean, rather than gating them behind a linear progression wall. Every achievement is also unlockable regardless of difficulty setting, meaning players on the easiest or hardest modes face the same full roster of targets.

Some standout entries hint at the game's personality. "Edward Catway" rewards players for smashing 50 potted plants, while "Friend to All" pops after interacting with all seven types of friendly animals in the world. Yes, that includes petting the cow.

The visible achievements include classic Black Flag objectives like capturing all forts, recruiting every ship officer, and defeating all legendary vessels. Ship-focused challenges range from surviving rogue waves to boarding lead convoys and performing perfect braces. Combat achievements task players with feats like killing guards mid-bell-ring, dodging wild boar charges, and executing parry-chain takedowns. Collection-focused unlocks span treasure chests in shipwrecks, art pieces for the Great Inagua mansion, and every tavern game victory.

Hidden achievements remain secret, with titles like "Last to Leave," "A Poxy Bird," "Walls That Hold Back The Wind," "In A World Without Gold," "Ever a Splinter," "Hungover," and "Blow the Man Down" suggesting narrative beats or surprise moments awaiting discovery.

Black Flag Resynced launches July 9 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S as a single-player remake of the open-world pirate adventure.

Author Emily Chen: "Offline achievements are table stakes for single-player games, but Ubisoft's transparency here is a response to justified gamer frustration with titles that vanish from digital storefronts, and that's worth noting."
