GTA Online's Next Heist Targets an Abandoned Art Gallery This July

Rockstar Games is preparing players for the wait until Grand Theft Auto 6 with a major new heist coming to GTA Online in July. The Kortz Center Heist will finally open up Los Santos' most exclusive art gallery for a high-stakes robbery.

The Kortz Center has existed in the game world since GTA 5 launched, but it has remained largely inaccessible to players. A brief story mission features a confrontation between law enforcement inside the building, but there has been no playable interior or meaningful reason to visit. That changes this summer when players can break in and pillage the gallery's valuable collection.

Like previous GTA Online heists, this job will likely offer multiple approaches. Players can tackle the robbery using different strategies and tactics, making it substantially replayable. Rockstar typically bundles new heists with additional content, so expect fresh vehicles, weapons, and clothing options alongside the main event.

Getting ready for the heist requires some preparation. Players will need to own a mansion from the latest major GTA Online update. The mansion's art studio becomes the heist planning headquarters once renovated. Without a property or sufficient funds, players should take advantage of bonus GTA$ opportunities that Rockstar will roll out in the coming weeks. GTA+ subscribers will receive a $2 million discount on mansion purchases very soon, making entry more accessible.

Rockstar has not yet revealed full details about what the update will contain beyond the heist itself, but the studio typically announces specifics a few days before launch.

For players still stuck on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, Rockstar is offering free upgrades to the current generation versions of the game. The timing works perfectly for anyone looking to jump back in before GTA 6 arrives this November.

Author Emily Chen: "The Kortz Center heist is exactly the kind of content GTA Online needs right now, and locking it behind mansion ownership is a clever way to get players engaged with the broader economy while they wait for GTA 6."
