At $57.92 for six packs, buyers are looking at roughly $9.65 per pack, saving over $10 compared to secondary market prices. The bundles are sold and shipped directly from Amazon, not through third-party vendors, which matters for those concerned about authenticity and shipping reliability.
The caveat is substantial: the original retail price for these bundles was $30, meaning the current $57.92 represents a 93% markup. That's the harsh reality of the modern Pokémon TCG market, where even major retailers routinely price above MSRP. Still, if you're determined to crack packs at launch, this is currently the best entry point available.

Pitch Black marks the next Mega Evolution expansion in the English lineup, following the larger Ascended Heroes set. Six Mega Evolution Pokémon ex are confirmed, with four of them already revealed: Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, and Mega Excadrill ex.
The set's biggest chase card appears to be Mega Darkrai ex, which features on the box. In the Japanese equivalent set, this card has an attack called Abyss Eye that instantly knocks out any opponent's active Pokémon that's affected by a Special Condition, regardless of remaining HP. Pitch Black also includes four Pokémon ex, eleven Illustration Rare Pokémon, eighteen Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards, and six Special Illustration Rares. Over 35 total cards will carry special illustrations. The Elite Trainer Box promo will be a new Zarude Illustration Rare, a card likely to command strong prices on the resale market.
For those hesitant about dropping nearly $60 on a single booster bundle, waiting a few weeks after launch might yield cheaper options as the initial hype subsides. However, popular sets can stay elevated, and Mega Evolution expansions tend to hold collector interest.
