Tom Holland showed up to the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day ready to celebrate his wife, and he did it with a compliment that cuts straight to the heart of what makes their partnership work both on camera and off.
When a reporter asked Holland what he loved most about working with Zendaya, the 30-year-old actor didn't hesitate. He said she is more talented than he is and that she elevates everyone around her in their scenes. It's the kind of thing you hear from co-stars all the time, but Holland's sincerity landed differently because they're not just collaborators anymore, they're married.
The couple has been playing MJ and Peter Parker in the Marvel franchise for a decade. Their on-screen chemistry was unmistakable from the start, but somewhere between Homecoming and now, that chemistry became real. Both Holland and his wife's stylist Law Roach have confirmed they are married.

The timing of Holland's public praise matters. Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters this Friday, and the couple just wrapped their roles in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. If both films perform at their projected box office levels, Holland and Zendaya could make history as the first married couple starring in the #1 and #2 movies in the world simultaneously.
They were 20 and 19 when Spider-Man: Homecoming debuted a decade ago. Now they're in their primes, commanding some of the biggest budgets in Hollywood, and they're doing it together. The superhero franchise that brought them together hasn't faded away, it's evolved into something deeper, and Holland seems to have no problem telling the world exactly what he thinks about his wife's abilities.
