Magic's Star Trek Bundle Saves Collectors $75 Right Out of the Gate

Magic: The Gathering's Star Trek Commander deck collection hits shelves November 13, and Wizards of the Coast is already sweetening the deal for players ready to commit. The four-deck bundle rings up at $224.97 on Amazon, undercutting the $300 price tag for buying each $75 precon separately.

That $75 savings essentially hands you a free deck if you're willing to grab the whole set at once. For fans of the franchise planning to snag all four anyway, the math is hard to ignore.

Each deck ships as a ready-to-play 100-card Commander configuration steeped in Star Trek lore and character themes spanning the series' six decades. The specifics are still rolling out ahead of launch: exact Commander abilities, secondary Commanders in each deck, the count of original cards versus reprints, and other mechanical details remain under wraps for now.

Star Trek marks the final major Universes Beyond release for the year, capping what Magic has called its most densely packed release schedule ever. The set doubles as a 60th-anniversary celebration for the franchise, with special Autograph cards emerging as some of the rarest pulls Magic has printed in recent memory.

The precon bundle isn't the only way into the Star Trek card pool. Collector booster packs offer chances at those coveted Autograph cards, while two new Scene Boxes commemorate iconic moments from the shows and films. Players can preorder everything now ahead of the November 13 street date.

Author Emily Chen: "If you're serious about Star Trek Commander, this bundle deal is genuinely one of the better value plays Magic has offered in years."
