Netflix is stocking July with six new titles spanning detective mysteries, international thrillers, period dramas, and romantic comedies, giving subscribers plenty of reasons to stay indoors this month.
Enola Holmes 3 kicks things off on July 1, with the quick-witted detective (Millie Bobby Brown) heading to Malta for a wedding that goes sideways when her brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill) vanishes. The case pulls Enola into danger as she races to uncover what happened. The ensemble cast includes Louis Partridge, Helena Bonham Carter, Himesh Patel, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.
On July 2, the crime thriller Human Vapor arrives with a high-concept premise: a death broadcast live on television triggers a detective's hunt for answers as a killer destabilizes the city. The series features Shun Oguri, Yu Aoi, and Suzu Hirose in a story aimed at fans of shows like Alice in Borderland and Hellbound.
Little House on the Prairie debuts July 9 as a reimagined take on the classic, following the Ingalls family as they settle the Western Frontier. The show has already been greenlit for a second season, a sign of confidence from the streamer. Luke Bracey leads a cast that includes Warren Christie, Jocko Sims, and Barrett Doss, tackling themes of family, danger, and relationships.
Will Ferrell comedy lovers get The Hawk on July 16. Ferrell plays Lonnie 'The Hawk' Hawkins, a golf legend chasing one final major championship with his greatest rival (Jimmy Tatro) in his sights. Molly Shannon, Luke Wilson, and Chris Parnell round out the cast.
Heartstopper Forever arrives July 17 as the final film in the beloved romance series. Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) navigate life after school, grappling with an undefined relationship and plenty of emotional turbulence. The ensemble includes William Gao, Yasmin Finney, and Corinna Brown.
Rounding out the month on July 23, Ransom Canyon returns for Season 2 with Staten (Josh Duhamel) and Quinn (Minka Kelly) taking bigger risks and wrestling with their relationship status. James Brolin and Philip Winchester appear in the series alongside Eoin Macken and Lizzy Greene.
Author Jessica Williams: "This is a solid month for Netflix, balancing franchise returns with new IP and giving multiple genres their moment."
