Wolverine's Sabretooth Joins GTA 6 Cast as Rockstar Casting Leak Widens

Brett Gipson, who plays Sabretooth in Marvel's upcoming Wolverine film, has confirmed he will appear in Grand Theft Auto 6. According to credits listed on his resume, Gipson will play a character named Ellis, though Rockstar has not publicly detailed the role or how prominently it will feature in the game.

The character Ellis has not appeared in any of the promotional materials released so far. Rockstar's marketing campaign has focused heavily on the game's two playable protagonists, Jason and Lucia, with occasional glimpses of supporting cast members like Jason's friend Cal Hampton and his boss Brian Heder.

Gipson is not the first performer to publicly disclose involvement with GTA 6. Actors Katie Burke, Ignacio Navarro, and Massi Furlan have all revealed they are part of the cast in recent weeks. Some of these roles appear to be minor NPCs, while others have kept their parts under wraps. It remains unclear whether Rockstar explicitly authorized actors to share their casting announcements or if the disclosures are happening independently as the studio ramps up promotion heading into launch.

The steady stream of actor confirmations suggests that motion capture work for GTA 6 has either wrapped or is nearing completion. Pre-orders are set to open later this week, with speculation that Rockstar may release a third official trailer alongside the pre-order announcement. The studio previously unveiled the game's cover art, signaling to the community that the November 19 release date remains on track.

Historically, Rockstar has kept its casting roster confidential until games ship. The studio has not yet announced an official cast list for GTA 6, leaving fans to piece together the roster through resume leaks and actor announcements. Whether Rockstar will formally confirm the cast before launch, or maintain its traditional approach of secrecy, remains unknown.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Author Emily Chen: "Hollywood actors announcing video game roles through their resumes before the publisher even confirms them is peak 2025 casting chaos, and honestly it's way more entertaining than whatever official announcement Rockstar could manage."
