GTA 6 Cover Art Drops, Pre-Orders Launch June 25

Rockstar Games has unveiled the official cover artwork for Grand Theft Auto 6, confirming that players can begin pre-ordering the highly anticipated game on June 25. The artwork debuted in a 30-second video posted to Rockstar's YouTube channel and offers the first official visual representation of the game's dual protagonists and world.

The cover features Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval as the central figures, surrounded by imagery that hints at the game's scope and themes. A motorcycle stunt performer, police cruiser, and minigun-equipped helicopter frame the main characters, while the lower half of the art showcases additional elements: an unidentified woman wearing a necklace inscribed with "siempre" (Spanish for "always"), real estate mogul and club owner Boobie Ike, and veteran Vice City bank robber Raul Bautista. A sports car, speedboat adorned with a flamingo, and an alligator round out the composition, suggesting the game will blend urban gunplay and vehicle-driven action with open-world exploration and wildlife encounters.

The June 25 pre-order date marks the moment Rockstar will finally reveal GTA 6's price, a question that has dominated industry speculation for months. While previous pricing estimates have ranged from the standard $70 console price to as high as $100, Take-Two Interactive head Strauss Zelnick addressed the subject at the iicon video game executive conference in April, signaling the company would position the game at what consumers would perceive as fair value.

"Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way way way less of the value delivery," Zelnick said at the time. He emphasized that perception of fairness depends on both the quality of the product and the price charged for it. "What we think about is making the most spectacular piece of entertainment on Earth, in history," he added, acknowledging the ambitious scope of the project's development.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The pre-order announcement does not mention whether a new full trailer will arrive alongside the pre-order window, though industry observers are anticipating additional promotional content in the coming months as the release date approaches.

Author Emily Chen: "The cover art tells you exactly what Rockstar wants you to know: chaos, excess, and a sprawling world that rewards you for diving into every corner of it."
