Persona 5 Royal Lands on Xbox Game Pass This Month

Microsoft is bringing Persona 5 Royal to Xbox Game Pass on June 9, marking the flagship addition to the service's first wave of June releases. The JRPG joins a rotation of new titles rolling out across the month, though the overall cadence feels measured compared to May's major launch window.

The full first half of June lineup spans everything from survival games to fighting titles and quirky indie offerings. Solarpunk arrives June 8 as a floating island survival experience, followed by Undisputed, a boxing sim hitting the same day. Beastro, a hybrid of cozy life simulation and deckbuilding mechanics wrapped in a puppet adventure wrapper, lands June 11 alongside Frog Sqwad, a co-op extraction puzzle-platformer.

Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions launches in early access June 11, placing players in a cooperative environment within the broader Astroneer universe with emphasis on teamwork. Junkster, a 3D action platformer, rounds out the month on June 16.

Two titles are expanding into Game Pass Premium this month: Herdling and Total Chaos both arrive June 4, having previously been exclusive to Game Pass for PC and Ultimate subscribers on their respective platforms.

Platform availability varies by title. Persona 5 Royal is the widest release, hitting Cloud, Console, and PC. Several others skip console entirely or limit handheld support, so subscribers should confirm their preferred device before diving in.

As always, removals accompany arrivals. Five games exit Game Pass on June 15: Jurassic World Evolution 2, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Warhammer 40K Space Marine: Master Crafted Edition, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.

The June roster arrives ahead of this weekend's Xbox Games Showcase, where Microsoft traditionally unveils additional service announcements. Don't be surprised if more Game Pass additions surface during that event, potentially padding out what currently reads as a gentler start to the month.

Author Emily Chen: "Persona 5 Royal is the real draw here, but the eclectic mix of smaller games suggests Microsoft is betting on niche appeal rather than blockbuster momentum right now."
