Bellwright is heading to IGN Live on June 6 and 7, bringing the medieval survival phenomenon straight to the event's main stage. The game, developed by Donkey Crew and published by Snail Games, has already sold more than 1 million copies during its time in Steam Early Access and is preparing to expand to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Studio lead Florian Hofreither and lead gameplay developer Sergii Greben will sit down for an on-stage interview to walk through the game's core mechanics, narrative direction, multiplayer features, and what lies ahead for the title. The session promises an in-depth look at what has resonated with players since the game's early access launch.
Beyond the interview, IGN Live attendees will have a chance to step into Bellwright's world firsthand through a medieval-themed experience. A custom axe-throwing booth will let visitors test their aim with the weapon central to the game's survival gameplay. The organizers promise it's safely designed, so don't worry about the virtual serfs taking any real damage from inexperienced throws.
The showcase fits into a broader summer gaming push from IGN, with IGN Live serving as the centerpiece for a season of announcements, interviews, and hands-on gaming experiences spanning June through the end of summer.
Author Emily Chen: "A million copies in early access is a serious statement, and having Bellwright compete for attention at an event this size shows the medieval survival space is no longer a niche anymore."
