Xbox and Crunchyroll Team Up: Free Car Unlock Coming to Forza Horizon 6

Forza Horizon 6 launches in just days, and Xbox is sweetening the deal for anime fans. The racing game has partnered with streaming service Crunchyroll to offer subscribers an exclusive in-game reward as part of the platform's Ani-May celebration.

Through May 31, any Crunchyroll member can claim a Car Voucher for Forza Horizon 6, granting access to any vehicle from the game's Autoshow without spending in-game currency. The perk arrives just ahead of the game's May 19 release date, with Premium Edition owners getting early access starting May 15.

The promotion stacks nicely with Crunchyroll's broader Ani-May pricing push. The streaming service is running a limited-time subscription deal offering three months of its Fan plan for $1.99 monthly or the Mega Fan plan for $2.99 monthly. That works out to roughly six dollars total for either tier through the promotional window.

The Fan tier includes ad-free streaming on a single device, while Mega Fan adds support for multiple simultaneous streams and offline mobile downloads. Both options unlock full access to Crunchyroll's anime catalog and the Forza voucher.

There's a timing crunch for anyone interested in both offers. Crunchyroll's discounted Ani-May pricing expires May 21, five days before the car voucher expires on May 31. Players aiming to maximize value need to act by mid-May to lock in both the subscription discount and the in-game reward.

Forza Horizon 6 takes the franchise to Japan, casting players as a tourist-turned-racer navigating everything from Tokyo's neon-soaked streets to snowy mountain passes. The game's setting spans multiple distinct biomes and climates. Everyone who preorders any edition also gets an exclusive, pretuned Ferrari J50 at launch.

The crossover marks yet another instance of publishers weaving entertainment partnerships into game launches. For Crunchyroll subscribers already paying for streaming access, the free vehicle offer costs nothing but requires logging in before May 31.

Author Emily Chen: "This is the kind of cross-promotional deal that actually works both ways, giving real value to Crunchyroll members while driving traffic to a major game launch."
