Nintendo Finally Unleashes Mineru's Construct as Articulated Amiibo

Three years after The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom hit shelves, Nintendo is bringing one of its most formidable creations into the real world. The Mineru's Construct amiibo, priced at $34.99, enters preorder now with a September 17 release date.

The mechanical powerhouse stands out in Nintendo's amiibo lineup for a practical reason: articulated arms. Unlike most amiibo figures that sit static on a shelf, this Zonai mech can be posed and repositioned, giving collectors actual play value beyond display purposes.

In-game, the amiibo unlocks functionality across multiple Zelda titles. Scanning it grants random item rewards in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom. For players still exploring Hyrule, there's an added incentive: daily scans offer a chance at exclusive paraglider fabric designs for Link, a cosmetic bonus that keeps the amiibo relevant to active players.

Preorders are live at major retailers including Best Buy, GameStop, and Target.

Nintendo's amiibo cadence has slowed considerably in recent years, making each release feel more deliberate. Earlier this year brought a trio of Super Mario Bros. Wonder figures alongside the Switch 2 edition launch. July will see three Splatoon Raiders amiibo hit shelves, suggesting the publisher is selectively choosing franchises and moments that justify the physical release.

The Mineru's Construct amiibo marks a notable addition to Zelda merchandise, treating the game's signature mech suit with the kind of physical presence it deserves in collectors' displays.

Author Emily Chen: "An articulated mech amiibo with daily in-game rewards proves Nintendo still knows how to make these things worth owning, not just collecting."
