President Trump said Wednesday that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend their cease-fire by three weeks, following a White House meeting with diplomatic representatives from both countries.
The announcement came after Trump hosted the Israeli and Lebanese delegations at the White House to discuss the terms of the extension.
Author Sarah Mitchell: "Trump's ability to broker even short-term peace holds depends entirely on whether either side has incentive to break it, and three weeks is hardly enough time to build lasting stability."
