Disney Lorcana Explodes With Pixar: Toy Story, Brave, Incredibles Officially In The Game

Disney Lorcana's trading card game just got a massive shot in the arm. During a special Lorecast event, Ravensburger unveiled an ambitious slate of Pixar content heading to the collectible card game, starting with three major franchises making their debut in the next set.

Wilds Unknown, arriving May 8 in local game stores and May 15 everywhere else, marks the first time Pixar characters have appeared in Lorcana. Toy Story, Brave, and The Incredibles will anchor the set as glimmers, the game's rarest cards. The two most coveted will be Merida - Formidable Archer and Buzz Lightyear - Jungle Ranger, positioned as iconic chase cards that collectors will hunt hard to pull.

Beyond those headline names, the set pulls deep into Pixar lore. Collectors will find Sid Phillips - Toy Surgeon, the Alien as a True Believer, The Claw, and a slate of Sid's toys including Babyhead - Leader of Sid's Toys, Hand-In-The-Box, and Bouncing Ducky. The characters are scattered across three new fantasy domains: the Wilderknot, the Great Empty Sea, and Torchlight Peaks.

Ravensburger is also refreshing the game's aesthetic. Enchanted cards in Wilds Unknown will sport a new Art Nouveau style called Lore Nouveau, designed to capture "the feeling of discovering new areas in the realm of Lorcana."

The prerelease box lands May 8 at $39.99, bundling six booster packs, a random promo card, and more. The promo lineup features 12 travelers across six options, including Woody, Ariel, Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, Cinderella, and Pocahontas.

Pixar's rollout doesn't stop there. Attack of the Vine! follows in July, bringing Monsters, Inc. into the fold with Boo, Mike Wazowski, and Sulley joining the card pool on July 17 in stores and July 24 everywhere else. The set frames the monsters battling a rampaging vine threatening the game's world.

Later in 2026, Coco takes the spotlight in a set called Hyperia City, set in a fantastical metropolis. Onward arrives in Q1 2027 as its own full expansion.

The company is also launching a cooperative story experience called Illumineer's Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue in October 2026. The $59.99 product lets players team up across four difficulty levels, with full details expected at Gen Con 2026.

Author Emily Chen: "Lorcana has been the safe choice, mining Disney's vault of classics. Now they're betting big on Pixar's emotional storytelling and modern fanbase, and frankly, the timing feels shrewd."
