Ravensburger has opened preorders for a sprawling Pokémon jigsaw puzzle that pushes the boundaries of what a commercial puzzle can be. The "Celebration" set contains 40,320 pieces, stretches over 22 feet when assembled, and carries a $730 price tag.
The scale is difficult to wrap your head around. When finished, the puzzle measures 6.8 meters long by 1.92 meters high, or about 22.3 feet by 6.3 feet. For most homes, this means clearing substantial floor space just to attempt it.
Rather than dump 40,000 loose pieces into a single box, Ravensburger divided the set into ten separate 4,000-piece puzzles. Each section depicts a different iconic Pokémon and a memorable location from the franchise. This modular approach lets enthusiasts work through the puzzle in chunks before assembling the full display.
The company describes the pieces as "premium" and "sustainable," and recommends the puzzle for ages 14 and up, marketing it as an adult collectible.
This is not Ravensburger's first venture into mega-puzzles. The company previously released a "Memorable Disney Moments" puzzle of identical size, also 40,320 pieces. For context, the world's largest commercially available puzzle is "What a Wonderful World" by Dowdle, which contains 60,000 pieces and costs around $1,299.
The Guinness World Record for most puzzle pieces belongs to a 551,232-piece puzzle completed by 1,600 students at Vietnam's University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City, but that was a collaborative, non-commercial effort measuring roughly 49 feet by 76 feet.
Preorders for the Pokémon "Celebration" puzzle are live at $729.99, with an October 7, 2026 release date for U.S. customers.
