South Carolina Man Raises $13K for Penis Enlargement After Claiming World's Smallest

Michael Phillips, a 38-year-old from South Carolina, has secured funding for a surgical procedure to address micropenis, a medically diagnosed condition affecting fewer than 1 percent of men. His GoFundMe campaign raised nearly $13,000 from over 250 donors in less than a week.

Phillips, who has publicly identified himself as having the smallest penis on record at just 0.38 inches when fully erect, described the public response as overwhelming. "I never thought anyone would care enough to help," he said in a recent interview, adding that he was "extremely grateful" for the support.

The condition has created significant medical complications for Phillips. Beyond the urinary difficulties he experiences, he has explained that micropenis has essentially eliminated his ability to engage in penetrative sexual activity and severely damaged his dating prospects. Going to the bathroom presents a daily challenge, with urine dispersing in multiple directions.

Phillips' fundraising push drew attention from Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Dorman, who publicly offered to perform the enlargement procedure free of charge after learning about Phillips' quality of life struggles. However, Phillips declined the offer, stating he had already booked a procedure at a facility closer to his home in the Carolinas.

The enhancement surgery Phillips selected focuses on increasing girth rather than length, a distinction he clarified when discussing the scope of the procedure. While it will not resolve all complications associated with micropenis, he expects it to alleviate some of the most pressing issues.

Micropenis is clinically defined as a penile length under 2.67 inches when stretched, making it an exceptionally rare condition. The average adult measurement sits around 5.25 inches, according to medical standards.

Phillips has positioned himself as an advocate for those living with the condition, speaking publicly about the body shaming and social stigma micropenis sufferers face. He made headlines in February when he challenged anyone globally to dispute his claim of having the world's smallest penis, appearing on TMZ to discuss his unusual medical situation.

His visibility has not come without skepticism. Some online observers have questioned the authenticity of his claims, though Phillips has reportedly provided documentation of his micropenis diagnosis to television producers and others seeking proof. A viral social media video emerged after a woman he had sent images to criticized the size publicly.

Phillips appeared on the British television show This Morning in January to discuss his condition, a decision that required him to prove to producers that he actually had micropenis before the network would book him.

Author James Rodriguez: "Phillips' willingness to put himself out there publicly for such a sensitive medical issue is either genuinely admirable or an elaborate stunt, but either way, the response shows people do care about outlier stories that challenge what we think we know about the human body."
