Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is loading up a fresh arsenal of enemy types designed to push four-player squads to their limits. The upcoming third-person shooter, launching this summer on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, features nine distinct adversaries spanning Xenomorphs and androids that will test your trigger finger and squad tactics.
The dev team made a point to note that nine enemies represent only a portion of what players will encounter. The full roster extends beyond what has been revealed so far.
On the Xenomorph side, players face the Crusher, Drone, Exploder, Harbinger, Siren, Striker, and Warden. Each type brings different attack patterns and behaviors to encounters. Some of these creatures return from the first Fireteam Elite, while others mark fresh designs for the sequel.
The android threats come in the form of the Bulwark and an updated Synth design. One of these robotic adversaries deviates from the typical bipedal form, introducing unconventional enemy geometry into firefights.
Fireteam Elite 2 scales its challenge for up to four players working together in its PvE structure. The game emphasizes cooperative gameplay over competitive modes, pushing squads to coordinate under pressure as enemy waves intensify.
Full mission gameplay footage is coming soon as part of broader coverage rolling out through May. The developers have committed to additional reveals about the game's mechanics, weapons, and squad loadouts in the weeks ahead.
Author Emily Chen: "The mix of returning Xenomorph types with fresh android designs suggests the developers learned what worked in the first game and are building something tougher."
