Disney+ subscribers can now claim an exclusive Loki costume in Marvel Rivals at no extra cost through the streaming service's Perks program. The skin, called Twilight Aurora, is a blue-tinged version inspired by Loki's appearance in Joss Whedon's The Avengers film and arrived in the hero shooter on May 1.
The offer works two ways. If you already own the standard Avengers Loki skin, you'll receive the new chroma variant. If you don't own it yet, the Disney+ exclusive version essentially becomes your free entry point to the costume.
Claiming the skin takes just a few steps. Head to the Disney+ Perks website, log in with your account email, select the Marvel Rivals perk, and hit Claim Now to receive a code. Then launch Marvel Rivals, navigate to Settings, open the Bundle Code section, enter your code, and the skin is yours.
The Twilight Aurora design features the distinctive blue coloring associated with Disney+ itself. It's not a dramatically different look from the default Loki outfit, though there's noticeably less fur in the design. The chroma is exclusive to this promotion, so if you're already a Disney+ subscriber, the freebie has clear appeal.
The value proposition gets interesting when you consider what you'd normally pay. The base Avengers Loki costume costs 1,400 lattice on its own, or 2,200 through The Avengers bundle. To buy enough lattice from scratch, you'd need to spend at least $19.99 for the 2,180 lattice bundle. A Disney+ subscription starts at $11.99, or $12.99 if you bundle in Hulu. Existing subscribers get this skin for zero additional investment.
This marks the second gaming collaboration between Disney+ and Marvel Rivals through the Perks program. In October, the streaming service also offered subscribers an exclusive Twilight Aurora Daredevil costume, suggesting more gaming perks are likely on the way.
Disney+ launched its Perks program nearly a year ago to provide subscribers with an ongoing set of deals and sweepstakes. Current offerings include six months of DoorDash DashPass, 15 percent off Funko.com, and a chance to win Daredevil comics tied to the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series.
Author Emily Chen: "It's a smart move by Disney to keep Marvel Rivals players engaged with their subscription service, though the real value depends on whether you already pay for Disney+."
