PlayStation Plus subscribers will get three fresh titles next month, with EA Sports FC 26 leading the charge alongside a well-reviewed Soulslike and a hand-drawn action platformer. All three games unlock May 5.
The soccer sim arrives fresh off its September release and brings the usual competitive modes, including Ultimate Team, plus overhauled Rivals and Champs experiences. New to PlayStation Plus, the game comes packaged with an exclusive Icons Pack for subscribers to grab throughout the month.
For players craving a different kind of combat challenge, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers slots in as the month's Soulslike offering. Set during China's Ming Dynasty, the game casts you as a pirate warrior navigating a sprawling world to uncover why people are transforming into monsters. The title has found its footing among an increasingly crowded field of Souls-inspired games thanks to flexible character building and thoughtful world design. Reviews highlighted excellent combat and level design, though some encounters veer toward cheap difficulty spikes and ambush tactics that can feel unfair.
Rounding out the trio is Nine Sols, a 2D action-platformer that swapped its initial launch last year for a spot on the subscription service. The hand-drawn adventure leans into deflection-focused combat inspired by Sekiro, with a lore-heavy narrative woven throughout.
The subscription service is also reminding players that April's lineup, which includes Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, disappears from the library on May 4. Those looking to keep these titles need to claim them by that date.
Author Emily Chen: "This is a solid month for variety, though EA Sports FC 26 on Plus highlights how aggressively the soccer franchise monetizes its live service."
