Arrowhead is gearing up Helldivers 2 players for heavier firepower. The studio announced the Exo Experts Warbond, arriving April 28, which introduces a suite of exosuits and weapons designed to tip the scales in the ongoing war for Managed Democracy.
The centerpiece is the EXO-51 Lumberer, a redesigned powersuit mounting an anti-tank cannon paired with a flamethrower. Players can switch between precision anti-armor strikes and sweeping flame attacks to clear smaller threats. The EXO-55 Breakthrough takes a different approach, combining a flak cannon with a ballistics shield for frontal assault tactics against Super Earth's heaviest opposition.
The warbond also stocks fresh infantry weapons across multiple slots. The MGX-42 Bullet Storm trades traditional magazines for caseless ammunition fed through rotating barrels, marketed as a disposable machine gun platform. For close quarters, the SMG-203 Gallant prioritizes round-per-second throughput at the cost of magazine capacity, with rounds rated for improved barrier penetration. Rounding out the lethal arsenal is the P-33 Missile Pistol, a lock-on sidearm firing heat-seeking rounds with a claimed hit probability of 60 percent.
Support gear includes the O-2 Heavy Operator armor, the official uniform for citizens piloting advanced machinery. The set pairs with the Watchful Compatriot cape and grants the Oxygenator perk, boosting movement speed during walks, runs, and slides. Cosmetic additions feature the Exosuit Certified title, a Thumb of Approval emote, and a corresponding victory pose.
The announcement arrives weeks after Arrowhead shared sobering statistics on player conduct. Helldivers 2 logged 177 million friendly fire incidents during its second year, with the Eagle Strafing Run airstrike responsible for roughly 34 million accidental deaths. The new exosuits and heavy weaponry will likely add to that tally.
