Sony has officially confirmed its PlayStation Plus catalog additions for April, and the lineup packs serious variety. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered headlines the batch, joined by racing thrills, sports management, and several indie titles that caught player attention when details surfaced earlier.
The remastered version of Guerrilla Games' 2017 adventure gets a full visual overhaul on PlayStation 5, complete with the Frozen Wilds DLC and enhanced technical options designed to match the visual polish of Horizon Forbidden West. PlayStation 4 owners will receive the Complete Edition instead. Ubisoft's The Crew Motorfest brings Hawaiian island racing to the subscription service, offering an open-world driving experience that launched to solid reviews in 2023. Rounding out the trio is Sports Interactive's Football Manager 26 Console, the latest entry in the long-running management sim franchise.
Beyond these headline pulls, Sony also confirmed four additional titles hitting the Extra and Premium tiers. Warriors: Abyss delivers action roguelike combat, while Squirrel With a Gun provides indie sandbox shooting chaos. The Casting of Frank Stone expands the Dead by Daylight universe with narrative storytelling, and Monster Train rounds things out with deck-building mechanics.
Premium subscribers get one exclusive bonus: Wild Arms 4, the anime-tinged role-playing game originally released on PlayStation 2 back in 2005. The title marks a notable deep cut from PlayStation's archives now making its way into the subscription library.
All titles except Wild Arms 4 launch on both PS4 and PS5, though some have platform-specific versions. Squirrel With a Gun and The Casting of Frank Stone arrive exclusively on PS5.
Author Emily Chen: "It's a solid month that balances AAA expectations with genuine indie charm, though Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered remains the crown jewel that will drive subscriptions."
