Michigan Crushes Arizona, Advances to Title Game vs. UConn

Michigan demolished Arizona in the Final Four, turning what promised to be a marquee matchup into a 91-73 rout that sent the Wolverines to the championship game.

Playing in Indianapolis, the Wolverines overwhelmed the Wildcats from the opening tip. Junior center Aday Mara carried the offensive load with 26 points and nine rebounds, both career-highs in tournament play. Yaxel Lendeborg, who has dealt with injuries throughout the postseason, contributed 11 points in just 14 minutes of action.

The victory extended Michigan's hot streak to five consecutive tournament wins by double digits. The Wolverines also became the first team in tournament history to surpass 90 points in five separate games during a single NCAA tournament run.

Michigan will face UConn for the championship. The Huskies punched their ticket with a victory over Illinois that marked their third Finals appearance in four years, cementing their status as one of college basketball's recent powerhouses.
