The First Berserker: Khazan is rewarding its players for a year of support with a commemorative armor and weapon set. The Immortal Fury collection includes three pieces—the Greatsword of Chronicles, Dual Wield of Immortal Adamantine, and Sanguine Vanguard Spear—and will be available to all players at no cost.
The action RPG, set in the Dungeon Fighter Online universe, launched in 2025 and has accumulated significant player engagement. According to the developers, the game has logged over 273 million player deaths so far. Most deaths occur from falls rather than direct combat, with status effects and traps accounting for additional casualties. The boss Viper has proven to be the deadliest encounter.
In a message posted to Steam, Creative Director Junho Lee reflected on the game's trajectory and the team's commitment going forward. "I poured my heart into making Khazan, telling myself that this would be the game I stake my entire career on, leaving absolutely nothing in the tank," Lee wrote. He described how player engagement and community feedback reinvigorated the development team beyond what they had invested before launch.
"Because of all of that, not just me but the entire dev team found ourselves filled with even more energy than we spent building the game in the first place," Lee continued. "Now, more than ever, we're driven by a single heartfelt desire—to create something even better, something even more fun for all of you to enjoy."
The studio has signaled plans for future content updates, with Lee emphasizing that additional features are in active development. "We're pouring ourselves into it with genuine excitement, truly hoping from the bottom of our hearts that you'll love what's to come."
The First Berserker: Khazan earned an 8/10 in IGN's review, which praised it as "a brutal but impressive soulslike that makes pushing through its devastating bosses worth the effort."
